2009 National Healthcare Quality & Disparities Reports

Inequalities between ethnic groups in health care

The results of the National Healthcare Quality & Disparities Reports show that there are differences in health care among different ethnic groups, income and education levels. This visualization looks at the differences between blacks and whites.

To make the results of the different surveys comparable, they have been converted to a negative perspective when necessary. For instance, instead of looking at women who reported they had a mammogram within the past 2 years, the height of the bar shows the percentage of women who did not have a mammogram.

So when looking at the diagrams, higher blocks mean a worse situation for the respective group.
